Godrej Industries Group (including its affiliates and associate entities) (hereinafter referred to as “GIG”, "we" or "our") may collect store, process and / or transfer personal data/information of employees in accordance with the applicable Data Privacy laws including but not limited to The DPDP Act 2023, GDPR, Cert-IN, Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (hereinafter referred to as “IT Rules, 2011”) etc., as applicable.
For the purposes of this Candidate Privacy Notice, “Personal Information” means any information that relates to a natural person, which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with GIG, is capable of identifying such person.
“Special Categories of Personal Data” means information relating to racial or ethnic origin and health—in limited circumstances and only permitted under applicable legislation.
Additionally, GIG may be required to process such data from time to time in order to fulfill its legal obligations or exercise its rights under employment law or any other relevant legislation applicable at that time.

b) Legal Bases for processing Personal Data
GIG will process Personal Information in the following circumstances:
- Legal Requirement or Contractual Necessity: When required by law or necessary for entering into a prospective employment contract with GIG.
- Legitimate Interests: Where GIG has a legitimate interest in processing Candidate data, provided that such interest is not overridden by Candidate’s data protection rights or fundamental freedom. This includes consideration of the safeguards GIG has implemented to protect Candidate’s information.
- Processing of Special Category of Data
- It is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
- It is required to exercise specific rights of either Candidate or GIG in relation to your prospective employment.
- Consent-Based Processing
- Any new or additional purposes not previously disclosed.
- Specific types of processing, involving Special category of data, where prior consent is mandated by applicable law.
2. Purpose
The personal data collected may be processed and shared with other entities within the GIG Industries Group for the following purposes only:
- Recruitment process management (shortlisting, scheduling interviews, making offers, Background Verification).
- Communication regarding job applications or opportunities.
- Improvement of recruitment processes and candidate experience.
- For reporting within the group on representation and inclusion of diverse cohort in the group, at an aggregate level. For informing and reaching out regarding future job opportunities that align with Candidate’s profile and career interests
Such personal data may be shared by GIG with third parties in the following circumstances:
- To comply with applicable laws and governmental requests or legal proceedings.
- For achieving the purposes set out in Clause 2 hereinabove, in a secured format with service providers, partners and other third parties.
- With authorized vendors (technology, recruitment, analytics, or customer support providers) engaged by GIG, strictly for the purpose of enabling and improving the recruitment process. Unless otherwise prohibited under the applicable law, such personal data may be transferred to and processed outside the country in which the candidate resides.
- However, please be assured that the vendors, partners and third parties mentioned above are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of the data and to use it only for the services they provide to GIG and only for the purposes mentioned above in Clause 2.
